Spotlight Boulders

Spotlight Boulders are like a regular set, but better.

Our setters are about to showcase their skills and creativity big time when they set Spotlight Boulders on an entire half of the Big Boulder on 3/26. And they’re bringing in some special guest setters to help. We love giving our setters the chance to flex their skills by giving them the space and hold selection to go all out (plus then we all get to climb some sick new stuff).

Q: Wait, what? What are Spotlight Boulders?
A: They’re a set of boulders that show off the amazing things our setters can do when they’re encouraged to get creative and have fun using their favorite holds and volumes.

Q: Do I have to pay extra or something?
A: Nope! Members can come like normal and non-members can come like normal with a day pass/punch pass/guest pass.

Q: What holds/volumes will be up?
A: Expect to see @360holds, @flathold, @cheetaholds, @neo.holds, @xcultusa and more.

Steve has been routesetting for nearly 10 years now. He’s set for Janja Garnbret and Mickaël Mawem, and he’s happy to set for you too.

He was part of the setting team we had for USAC Youth Boulder Divisionals this past February so there’s a good chance you’ve climbed some of his boulders already. You’ve also probably seen some of his work on the 2023 Red Bull Dual Ascent, as Steve has spent time working with 360 Holds in Slovenia.

Nick has been in routesetting since 2018. His favorite discipline to climb outdoors is trad climbing.

Indoors, he enjoys setting a variety of different styles, on both rope and boulders. He prefers competition style setting over commercial, but is happy to do either, as he has a deep love for the profession and sport as a whole. He also helped create our opening set!
